Interesting to note that this car is already listed as "previously supplied" presumably meaning sold. I would dearly love to know where the connections to Bob Ansell and Ken Wharton came from as they are not names I have come across in relation to an SS100
There is obviously something confusing with the history of this car as it was listed in the CJA registers from first edition 1971 through to 7th edition 1985 all noting same owner Frank Newman motors of Las Vegas
The 8th edition has no listing for the car excepting a note on front page saying that 18117 was "delisted" as it was confirmed to have been destroyed in a fire and the chassis scrapped!
Whilst the ID plate is a new restamped plate the engine number stamped into the block looks original, what was salvaged from the fire I wonder.
It would be interesting to get more details on this car and its history.
Can anyone help?
